Althorp Princess Diana's ancestral home north of London, where her brother Earl Spencer and his family live. A gorgeous home with amazing grounds, and a Diana exhibit that will leave a lump in your throat.

Balmoral Castle in Scotland We weren't able to see much of the castle's interior, but one can see why the royal family loves spending time here. Absolutely beautiful setting.

Blenheim Palace just north of London This had to be the most elegant home we visited while in the U.K. The grounds are equally impressive.

Braemar Castle The home of our ancestors, the Farquharsons. The inside of this formidable looking castle is very elegant, and the little town is something right out of a storybook.

Culloden House Inverness, Scotland I can not say enough wonderful things about this hotel where Bonnie Prince Charlie spent the night before that fateful battle on Culloden Moor. The staff was amazing, and the food incredible. Definitely the best meal I had when I was in the U.K.
